Designing spaces that inspire and enhance people's lives

At McNally Morris Architects, we are a team of dedicated professionals passionate about creating innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance people's lives. Our journey began in 2005 when Hugh McNally and Dominic Morris founded the practice, driven by a shared vision of making a positive contribution to contemporary society. With a strong focus on residential architecture, we have worked on a diverse range of projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, industrial, sports, and community and youth initiatives.

Our Expertise

Our expertise in residential architecture has been showcased in numerous projects, including the semi-finalist entry in the BBC Northern Ireland's House of the Year 2009 competition. Our commitment to the conservation of architectural heritage and sustainability in architecture has led to the publication of our work in various press publications.

Our People

At McNally Morris Architects, we pride ourselves on our expertise and passion for designing places that people occupy. Our team, led by Hugh McNally and Dominic Morris, includes qualified architects, conservation architects, and researchers who are committed to expanding their knowledge and expertise to provide high-quality services to our clients.

Our Projects

Throughout the years, we have had the pleasure of working on numerous projects that showcase our creativity and dedication to our craft. Some of our notable projects include:

  • House at Randalstown: A semi-finalist entry in the BBC Northern Ireland's House of the Year 2009 competition
  • House: Ballyearl Road, Newtownabbey, Co Antrim: A modern, spacious house with a cottage feel
  • Former Kerrib National School, Dungannon: A conversion of a listed National School building into a home
  • House: Drumaroad Hill, Ballynahinch, Co Down: A modern, low-energy house on a sloping site
  • Extension to house: Belfast Road, Ballydavey, Bangor, Co Down: An extension that contrasts yet complements the existing house
  • Apartments: Drumlyon, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh: A development of 22 apartments on the outskirts of Enniskillen

Research and Collaboration

At McNally Morris Architects, we believe in the importance of research and collaboration. We have participated in various research projects, including a joint project with Architecture at Queens University Belfast on the relationship between autism and the built environment. This investigation led to the publication of a book, 'Aldo goes to Primary School', which illustrates the issues that children with autism may experience in the primary school environment.

Our Mission

At McNally Morris Architects, we are committed to making a positive contribution to contemporary society through our work. We strive to meet our social responsibility as designers of places for occupation by people and continually seek to expand our knowledge base and the depth of our expertise.
