Heritage Planning & Architecture is an award-winning planning consultancy located in North Wales. We offer a comprehensive architectural service, covering all aspects from the initial survey and design stages through to submitting your Planning, Listed Building, and Building Regulation Applications. Our team can also prepare schedules and specifications of works, obtain costs for your project, manage the tender process, and supervise the works on site. Furthermore, we can handle your Planning and Listed Building Appeals.

Our consultancy was founded in 2003, and since then, we have developed a diverse client portfolio. However, we specialize in listed or historic buildings and structures in conservation areas. Our primary goal is to alleviate the stress and frustration that can come with what can be a complex and time-consuming process.

Our Expertise

At Heritage Planning & Architecture, we take pride in being a company that is large enough to handle every aspect of the design, planning, and application process but small enough to offer a dedicated, personal service. Most of our work is carried out in North Wales, and we welcome contact through the medium of Welsh by phone or email.

Our Director, Anne Lloyd Morris, has 30 years of experience in planning and architecture. She studied Town & Country Planning at the Polytechnic of Central London and Building Conservation at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, Bedford Square, London. Anne gained 15 years of experience as a local government Conservation Officer in Hampshire, Herefordshire, and The Cotswolds before returning home to North Wales and going freelance in 2003.

• Project Management: Our team can manage your Planning and Listed Building applications and appeals, provide a complete architectural, surveying, engineering, and building service, and carry out historic research on your property.
• Specialist Reports: We can prepare specialist Heritage Reports, Design & Access Statements, Flood Reports, Ecology Reports, and Tree Reports.
• Conservation Repairs: We can provide guidance and detailed specifications of conservation repairs to historic buildings.

Our client base includes both private clients and other professionals. For private clients, owning a listed or historic building or a property in a conservation area can be a dream come true, but it can also be a headache due to the complex planning regulations and application process. We can help smooth the way through the process and help you realize your dreams.

For other professionals, we can provide specialist advice and support to architects, surveyors, engineers, and builders. We can assist with Heritage Assessments, Heritage Impact Assessments, and Justification Reports, Design & Access Statements, guidance on traditional architectural detailing, and detailed specifications and method statements for conservation repairs to historic buildings.
