Projects Progress Practice Process

We have successfully completed several projects that showcase our commitment to innovative design and sustainability. For instance, our extension to a Grade II listed barn dwelling was awarded the residential category winner in the West Lancashire Design Awards 2017. This project involved creating a unique and informal lean-to structure that minimized contact with the existing barn, preserving its character and fabric. Another notable project is the extension to a Grade II listed school house, where we utilized recycled materials and a contrasting form to ensure a minimal impact on the historic building.

The Croft Extension

Our design for this single-storey extension focused on creating a unique and successful addition to the rear of a detached home. The straightforward geometry allowed us to concentrate on the details and selection of materials, resulting in a space that is both functional and enjoyable. This project was shortlisted and highly commended in the West Lancashire Design Awards 2019 for the Small Residential Category.

Marlewood

This period property, located within a Conservation Area, was extended with a contemporary garden pavilion that connects seamlessly with the external environment and garden living area. The design provides an interesting contrast to the existing dwelling while respecting its character and history. The application of copper metal cladding and charred cedar timber cladding adds a unique dynamic to the extension, ensuring it stands out without detracting from the property's original charm.
