Based out of our combined workshop and design studios in London, Shanghai, Singapore, and California, we create buildings, spaces, objects, and infrastructure. Our mission is to design soulful and impactful places that celebrate the complexities of the real world.
Our Approach
We are a practical and pragmatic team who see the world in a unique way. We believe that the simplest and most effective way to solve problems is to start from scratch, putting aside preconceived ideas and assumptions. By asking questions, we uncover the real issues and potential solutions at the heart of each project. We are a team of makers, working closely with craftspeople and specialist contractors to test and refine our ideas.

Our team is led by Thomas Heatherwick, the studio's founder and design director, who has a background immersed in materials and making.
