Positive: The other representatives of the firm, Jo and Mike, were praised for their professionalism.
Negative: Darren was accused of unprofessional behavior, including calling planning enforcement on a client and canceling their contract without legitimate reason.

Disappointing Experience with Darren

The reviewer, Mhairi Gibson, had previously used a firm for many years, paying thousands of pounds in fees on time. However, their experience with Darren, a representative of the firm, was marred by unprofessional behavior. Gibson decided to build an annexe in St Andrews, which received planning permission, despite Darren's attempts to intervene and threaten enforcement action through a friend at Fife council. This was later revealed through a freedom of information request.

Gibson's second attempt to build an annexe with the firm was met with abrupt cancellation of their contract by Darren, who claimed that they were "bringing his firm into disrepute." This decision was made despite the fact that everything was done according to plan and building regulations.

Gibson was disappointed with Darren's behavior, describing it as "very unprofessional." They have lodged a complaint with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIAS) and praised the other representatives of the firm, Jo and Mike, for their professionalism. In contrast, Darren's action was seen as motivated by a desire to lose business rather than any legitimate concerns.
