At Atelier-M architecture & design, we are a design-led practice located in Longforgan, Perthshire, with a portfolio that extends from individually designed extensions and alterations for private clients to various commercial projects and new build and listed building conversions for residential developments. Our team of chartered architects is dedicated to combining contemporary ideas and technology to create innovative architectural design solutions while providing an efficient and professional service.

Our History

Established in 2005 by Alan S Macdonald, our director who has extensive experience in the residential sector, particularly with regard to regeneration and social housing. Alan holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) degree from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and has a Diploma in Urban Development from Strathclyde University. He has also worked on various regeneration projects and housing projects, including the Saltire Housing Recommendation award-winning project, The Terraces in Clydebank.

Alan's background in regeneration and social housing has honed his interest in housing and social and economic regeneration. He was an elected committee member of Partick Housing Association for three years, chairing the Development Sub-Committee. His expertise in private housing, retail, and shopfitting is also noteworthy.
