At SA Architecture, we are a multi-disciplinary practice dedicated to delivering bespoke designs that cater to the unique requirements of our clients. Our approach to each project is a unique response and solution to our client's brief and the opportunities that arise from within the context of the project. Our aim is to deliver the highest level of quality and service throughout, and we strive to make each project an inclusive and involved process.

We understand that the quality of the design and construction is reinforced by the team effort, and we have nurtured relationships with engineers, contractors, and suppliers who share our high standards of design and quality of service. As architectural designers and interior designers working together, we are able to provide all the services required from inception to completion, from the fabric of the building through to the furniture and fittings.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including new build, extensions, refurbishment, and interior design. We work closely with clients and planning authorities to achieve the maximum potential for each project. Our experienced team has a wide range of expertise, from working within conservation areas and with listed buildings to obtaining planning permission for new build houses in London, Surrey, and Cornwall.

Whether you would like to reorganise what you already have, extend upwards, outwards, or downwards, we can help. We can work on the whole project or individual elements, tailoring our approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Our team's diverse range of experience includes working on projects as large as a 133-bedroom country house hotel to designing and building a writer's riverside studio.

We also offer interior design services, from small-scale refurbishments to large-scale projects such as hotels and cafes. Our small but versatile team loves a challenge and is well-equipped to take on complex projects.

Our Team

Our team consists of three directors: Rebecca Adams, Spencer Adams, and Louise Litchfield. Between them, they have extensive experience in the field, with projects spanning from listed buildings to new builds, and from country houses to riverside studios.

Rebecca Adams is a director at SA Architecture and joined the practice in 2012. She has extensive experience in domestic projects, including listed buildings. Her expertise covers a wide range of projects, from small-scale refurbishments to large-scale construction projects.

Spencer Adams founded SA Architecture in 2005 and has worked on a wide range of projects, from large-scale developments to small-scale renovations. His background as a carpenter and architect makes him well-suited to finding practical and beautiful solutions to site problems.

Louise Litchfield is an interior designer who has worked on numerous prestigious projects, including the Royal Automobile Club on Pall Mall and various high-worth residential projects around the UK. Her expertise includes both new build and refurbishment projects at all levels.

Portfolio

Our portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from Surrey houses to Cornwall houses, and from new builds to refurbishments. Some of our notable projects include a country house refurbishment, a riverside studio, and a live/work unit refurbishment. Our project list also includes new builds, such as a 133-bedroom country house hotel, and listed building consent applications, including a Grade II 1840s property.
