At ARK Sustainable Architecture Ltd, we are a design-led architectural practice based in Cornwall, providing professional architectural services for all types of development. As a CIAT-registered practice and a member of the AECB, we are committed to delivering sustainable architectural design solutions. Our team of experienced architects, architectural technicians, and office manager work together to provide a comprehensive service to our clients.

Our Story

Our practice was founded by Lee Crease, a highly motivated chartered architectural technologist with over 25 years' experience in the field of architecture. With an ethos for delivering sustainable architectural design solutions, our team is dedicated to creating inspiring, creative, healthy spaces that are functional, durable, and energy-efficient, and have a positive effect on the environment.

Our Services

Our services include bespoke residential developments, residential renovations and extensions, and new build projects. We cater to a wide range of clients, from private individuals to commercial developers. Our team is proficient in using innovative and cutting-edge design to deliver sustainable solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Our Team

Our team consists of experienced professionals with a combined total of over 50 years' experience in the field of architecture and construction. Our team members include:

• Roger C, Senior Architectural Technician, who has over 25 years' experience in architecture and building design. He is proficient in 2D AutoCAD and has a sound knowledge of the building regulations.
• Adam Britland, Architectural Assistant, who has a strong foundation in architecture principles and a background in Carpentry. He has a keen eye for detail and a passion for finding sustainable solutions to clients' needs.
• Silke Crease, Office Manager, who has over 5 years' experience in accounting and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office, including accounts, payroll, and administration duties.

Our Studio

Our modern office studio in Newquay is equipped with the latest computer software and state-of-the-art equipment, including in-house A1 colour printing facilities. We welcome clients to call in for a coffee to discuss their next project or to organize a free initial meeting on site to discuss their requirements.

Sustainability

At ARK Sustainable Architecture Ltd, we believe that sustainability is at the heart of our practice. We believe that our actions and decisions today should ensure a positive legacy for future generations. We aim to produce inspiring, creative, healthy spaces that are functional, durable, and energy-efficient, and have a positive effect on the environment. We regularly specify and can advise on technologies such as ground source or air source heat pumps, solar panels, photovoltaics, MVHR & green roof systems. We have had training in Passivhaus design software and can advise on creating low energy dwellings.

Our Projects

We have worked on a wide range of projects, including commercial and residential developments, barn conversions, extensions, and alterations, and replacement dwellings. We have experience working on projects in a variety of locations, including Newquay, Truro, St Ives, Falmouth, St Agnes, Padstow, and Bodmin.
