DUA Architecture is an RIBA Chartered practice of Architects located in Highcliffe, near Christchurch in Dorset. With 30 years of experience in Dorset and Hampshire, we have established a reputation for delivering high-quality architectural services. Our projects cover a wide spectrum of types and sizes, and we take great pride in our ability to provide a personalised service to all our clients.

Our History

DUA Architecture was founded in 1988 by David Underhill, who has since retired from the practice. In 2000, William Lycett joined the practice as a business partner, bringing with him experience from working in Africa on community buildings such as schools and hospitals. In 2002, they jointly formed one of the country's first limited liability partnerships, DUA Architecture. Martin Hammond joined the practice in 2007 and became a partner in 2012 after completing his Part II qualification.

Today, DUA Architecture has a high skill base with a largely automated administrative back-up, allowing us to provide high-quality and efficient services to our clients.

Our Team

Our team is made up of highly skilled and experienced professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our clients.

• William Lycett: Will is a chartered Architect with a degree from Bath University and postgraduate diploma from Plymouth University. He has extensive experience in designing and delivering a wide range of projects.
• Martin Hammond: Martin joined DUA Architecture in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. He has extensive experience in designing and delivering a wide range of projects.
• Ben Rothnie: Ben first joined DUA Architecture in June 2009 as a year out student. He has since completed his RIBA Part III qualification and is now a qualified, chartered Architect.
