Our journey began in 2002 when we founded our practice in London, and since then, we have expanded to our current studios in Nottinghamshire.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the highest possible standards of design on every project we undertake. We strive to achieve this by listening attentively to our clients and then adding value through design innovation and performance. We believe that our role is not only to create beautiful and functional spaces but to lead our clients from the initial conceptual idea to the final details of the spatial proposal. This encompasses lighting and furniture design, as well as the specification of material finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings.

Our Philosophy

Our core philosophy is to search for the essential elements of architecture, reducing the creative process to the basic concepts of light, volume, and mass. We believe that simplicity and minimalism can lead to the creation of spaces that are clear, intense, and easy to navigate. By stripping away unnecessary elements, we can focus on the essence of the space and create a narrative that unfolds as a sequence of events or experiences.

Our Services

Our services include a wide range of experience in diverse scales and types of projects, from interior design to architecture and urban planning. We have expertise in the design of both small and large-scale projects, from the simple to the highly complex, from green field locations to urban cityscapes. We also have experience in planning, conservation areas, and listed building issues.

Our Approach

Our approach is to integrate our services, incorporating interior design into our projects where an integrated approach is required. We use visualisation techniques to produce 3D visualisations, photo images, and plan layouts. We believe that the incorporation of interior design is crucial in achieving optimal solutions. Our designers work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide customised solutions that meet their expectations.

Our Expertise

Julie Richards, our founder and lead architect, has a wealth of experience in the field of architecture and design. She has studied at the world-renowned Architectural Association in London and has worked as an Architectural Assistant at the Office of Zaha Hadid. Julie has also been a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Nottingham and has been a committee member of NDSA (The Nottingham & Derby Society of Architects).
