Kenneth Brown Chartered Architect and Associates are a design-led practice specialising in the field of traditional construction. Our hallmark is finding imaginative and collaborative solutions and helping clients to realise their aims. We are a full member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and registered with the Architects Registration Board.
History
Ken Brown's practice was formed in 1990 and was based initially in North London before moving to Buckinghamshire in 1995. Since its formation, the practice has undertaken nearly one hundred jobs, the majority of which have been constructed. The key features of this small practice are a personal service and an attention to detail, bringing a depth of experience to the design and construction process.
Our Services
We offer a full range of architectural services including Full Architectural Service and Interior Design from initial design discussions through to the final delivery of the finished project on site. We also provide Conservation and Restoration, Building Maintenance, Planning applications, Listed Buildings applications, and Building Regulation approvals. We work in the sectors of housing, new build and extensions, conversions, one-off houses, and offices.
Recent Projects
Some of our recent projects include extensions to form a house and gallery for an art dealer in Dulwich Village, London, refurbishment and additions to an Edwardian house in Highgate, London, and the conversion, alterations, and restoration of a Grade II-listed barn in Woodrow, Amersham. We have also worked on a new entrance to a Grade II-listed Council Hall for Wycombe District Council and a feasibility study for work to barns on a farm in Gt. Hampden.
Portfolio
Our portfolio includes a range of projects such as the conversion of 1910 stables to a house, a large extension to a 1930s house in Little Chalfont, and a new-build five-bedroom house in Lee Common. Each project showcases our attention to detail and commitment to finding imaginative and collaborative solutions for our clients.
